The documentary series “Lightful Paths” is a journey to some of the most important religious destinations in Greece and beyond. The destinations abroad include places and monasteries that are connected to the Greek Orthodox element and are important religious monuments. The purpose of this particular series is to highlight the ecclesiastical and monastic treasure, which is an integral part of the cultural life of our country. Specifically, viewers have the opportunity to learn historical facts about each monastery, as well as the spiritual wealth preserved in the libraries or museums of the holy monasteries. Every form of ecclesiastical art is highlighted, such as iconography, woodcarving, frescoes, and church architecture, while we also try, to the extent possible, to portray aspects of the daily life of the monks living in the monasteries.
